This 13-week DOD-certified course is an expansion of Phoenix’s Field Collectors Course, which has been continuously run since its inception in 2004.
It trains DOD personnel in the tactics, techniques, and procedures of controlled HUMINT collection in strategic and tactical environments
DOD personnel learn to safely operate where U.S. forces are deployed in hostile environments.

The course is divided between classroom instruction, practical exercises, and performance evaluations. In addition to learning how to properly conduct a controlled HUMINT operation with all its variables, students learn source acquisition and handling, communication skills, personality profiling, security measures, using interpreters, legal issues, intelligence reporting, and many other skills and concepts essential to running human collection operations. Students participate in challenging exercises enhanced with additional training on HUMINT operations in high-threat environments. They perform practical exercises in tactical environments, and learn enhanced operational skills for rural and hostile HUMINT operations. Survival, use of cover, and land navigation training are included. A rigorous team-based culmination exercise rounds out this training.

Joint Interrogation Course
